WWE looking at Mid South/UWF library

WWE is continuing work on their attempts to purchase the Mid South/UWF video library owned by Bill Watt’s ex-wife as company officials were in Georgia a week or so ago reports PWInsider. One of the major problems in the past had been the difference between what WWE was willing to pay to purchase the library and what Bill Watt’s ex-wife, Ene, and her sons felt that library was worth. A source close to the family has stated WWE hasn’t given a formal offer yet, but did spend several days looking over the quality of the footage. This would be the last major promotion with footage that WWE has yet to purchase and own from the 1980s. Other promotions such as Memphis and Portland seem to be spread among several owners or were disposed of long ago.
