Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville is reportedly no longer under contract with WWE according to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet.
The report, which didn’t cite specific details, noted that a “source with direct knowledge of the situation” confirmed he is no longer tied to a WWE deal.
Neville has been off WWE television since last October and has not wrestled at any live events ever since. He did not comment publicly about his departure from WWE.
A report by F4WOnline claims WWE was in negotiations with Neville earlier this year, but they stalled and it appeared they opted to freeze his deal or negotiate a release.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque was asked about Neville and his current status with the company during an NXT conference call with media last week. Triple H said he wasn’t “100% positive” about Neville’s current status with the company and added he would have to look into that. He did add that Neville would be a perfect fit with the current goals of the NXT UK brand and put over his past work in 205 Live.
