WWE has confirmed two new championship matches for the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV on September 16 from San Antonio airing live on the WWE Network.
Braun Strowman has officially turned in his “Money in the Bank” contract and will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship inside the Hell in a Cell. Strowman turned over his briefcase contract to acting GM Baron Corbin on Monday night.
It was also confirmed that Ronda Rousey will defend the RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss in a rematch from SummerSlam in Brooklyn.
Last Friday afternoon, WWE also confirmed that AJ Styles will be defending the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe. The match is not slated to take place in the cell.
