Ricky Steamboat is the latest name who is slated to be inducted into the Class of 2009 WWE Hall of Fame this year in Houston, TX reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Steamboat is scheduled to be inducted by Ric Flair. Steve Austin, who will also be inducted this year, had requested Flair be the one to induct him and that is obviously not happening. There was some talk internally that Austin wanted Bret Hart to do it as well, but Hart had not been asked as of this week. Some talk has even taken place of Vince McMahon inducting Austin, but McMahon has always stayed behind-the-scenes at Hall of Fame ceremonies and some feel inducting Austin would be looked at as the “final stamp of approval” of making Austin to be the biggest star in the history of the company despite his history with Hulk Hogan.
