WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings on April 9:
– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger claimed he was the best natural athlete in WWE now that Shawn Michaels has retired. John Morrison came out saying Swagger doesn’t deserve to be champion.
– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger def. John Morrison.
– CM Punk said he plans to convert Darren Young.
– Shad Gaspard cut a promo in the ring. JTG ran out, but Shad took him out again.
– WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre def. Matt Hardy.
– In the ring, CM Punk, Serena and Luke Gallows tried to shave Darren Young’s head and convert him. Young agreed, but then changed his mind. They all started beating him down when Rey Mysterio made the save. Mysterio tried to shave Punk’s head, but Punk got away. It was announced that Punk’s hair would be on the line in their match at Extreme Rules.
– Rey Mysterio def. CM Punk in a street fight.
– The Hart Dynasty promoted the new “Hart and Soul” DVD.
– The Hart Dynasty def. Caylen Croft & Trent Barretta.
– During a backstage interview, Dolph Ziggler choked out Josh Mathews.
– Chris Jericho vs. Edge ended in a double countout to determine a new #1 contender for the WWE World Title. After the match, Edge gave Jericho a spear. Swagger hit the ring and Edge gave him a spear as well.
