While there isn’t a whole lot of details at this time, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Matt Hardy was sent home early by WWE from the company’s European tour this past weekend that ends today in Skegness, England. WWE officials have confirmed this report. Hardy did work yesterday’s event in Minehead, England. He was rather outspoken about criticism of his recent work in WWE on his official Twitter page in recent weeks. Whether or not remarks he had for critics and about the WWE was the reason for being sent home remains to be seen. We will continue to follow this story as it develops.
Update (10:02 p.m. ET): Hardy wrote the following on his official Twitter page in response to these reports late tonight: “Oh Yeah! Hello World, hope everyone is doing great! Just checked the headlines in my hotel room in the UK-how the dirt-sheets entertain me.”
