Morrison, Melina appearance at FCW this weekend

**John Morrison and Melina Personal Appearance This Friday and Saturday with FCW Wrestling**

Gainesville, July 5, 2011

Florida Championship Wrestling continues its Summer Slamarama Tour with two huge events Friday July 8th in Gainesville and Saturday July 9th in Eustis. FCW is excited to announce that both shows will feature WWE Superstar John Morrison!

Morrison, who has held multiple titles in WWE, is excited about the weekend’s festivities. “This is a big weekend,” John Morrison admits, as he adjusts his trademark sunglasses. “Fans that live in the area get to see me, ‘The Monday Night Delight,’ twice.” He laughs. “In all seriousness, though, this is great because usually you have to wait months and months for WWE or FCW to come to your town, but this weekend you get it twice.” WWE Diva Melina, who will also be appearing at both shows, chimes in: “Plus, above all else, I’ll be there.”

Originally known as Johnny Nitro, Morrison was a competitor on WWE’s reality show Tough Enough III, on which he won a WWE contract. Nitro captured tag team gold in WWE in the super group MNM, alongside Melina and long-time tag partner Joey Mercury, in their first televised appearance on Smackdown. After MNM went their separate ways, Morrison earned tag-team gold again with a new (and unlikely) partner: The Miz. The Miz and Morrison were a controversial team, airing weekly episodes of their smack-talking web show The Dirt Sheet. Morrison’s in-ring accolades haven’t been too shabby since going solo, either. Since breaking ties with The Miz, Morrison has won both the ECW and the Intercontinental Championships.

Steve Keirn, President and CEO of Florida Championship Wrestling, is thrilled about the huge weekend. “My only concern,” Keirn says, as he thoughtfully scratches his head, “is do we have enough room for all the MoFo’s?” MoFo, of course, is the familiar nickname for a John Morrison fan. “Nah, I’m only playing. We’re nothing but excited to have John and Melina here. You better show up early if you want to meet ‘them, though!”

Eight huge matches are scheduled for each night. Stars from WWE’s NXT will be featured, as well as the current crop of FCW superstars. The Fan Fest, featuring the meet-and-greet with John Morrison and Melina, begins at 6:30 both nights and will also feature seven current RAW / Smackdown superstars in autographs, free in-ring photo, games, contest and much more. The first 500 fans will receive a free FCW Superstar Trading Card pack.

FCW Wrestling will be in action Friday Night at the Martin Luther King Jr Multipurpose Center, which is located at 1028 NE 14th St., Gainesville, FL, 32601. Bell time is at 8:00pm, with doors opening at 6:30 for the Fan Fest.
