Report: Smackdown taping draws poor crowd

According to an article posted by Slam! Wrestling, last night’s WWE Smackdown and NXT tapings in Toledo, OH at the Huntington Center drew less than 3,000 fans, in a hockey arena that holds 7,000. Bryan Sattler, who covered the event for GERWECK.NET, noted, “the one side of the arena is blocked off.” WWE’s long time Glass City venue the Toledo Sports Arena is no more. WWE did run a Sunday afternoon house show in February at Savage Arena on the Campus of The University of Toledo that drew an estimated 4,500 fans.
