Gorilla Monsoon is gone but not forgotten. Bob “Gino” Marella will be among the inductees to the Section V wrestling Hall of Fame Feb. 10 at the Brook House. Marella, who weighed 300 + pounds as a teenager and was nicknamed “Tiny”, was a three-sport star athlete at Jefferson High. He was a city and sectional wrestling Champion twice. The Ithaca College Hall of Famer went on to become a 1959 NCAA wrestling national runner-up. As Gorilla Monsoon, first as a heel and later as a “Babyface,” he became one of the most famous and wealthiest pro wrestlers. He died in 1999 at age 62
