Maven — I’m Seeking Treatment for My Prescription Pill Problem

Former WWE superstar Maven Huffman has agreed to seek professional help in the hopes of kicking his prescription drug addiction … and he’s getting some help from his old pals at the WWE.

Maven’s attorney, James Flynn, tells TMZ … the 35-year-old has agreed to participate in the WWE’s “Former Talent Rehab Program” … after he was arrested last month for wrongfully obtaining more than 1000 pills of prescription painkillers.

“Yes, Maven is planning on working with the WWE and he was really impressed by their gesture to assist him” … the lawyer tells us.

As we previously reported, the WWE says it will pay for 100% of any rehab or treatment program for former WWE wrestlers … as long as the wrestler wants the help.

Maven’s attorney adds, “It is Maven’s sincere hope to use his experience to aid in the prevention of substance abuse and serve as an example to his fellow wrestlers and community at large.”

“Maven would also like his supporters to know that he is humbled by the outpouring of support he has received over the past week and he sincerely apologizes to any of his family members, friends, and fans who have had to read the press surrounding recent events.’

Maven’s lawyer says the wrestler is NOT admitting any criminal wrongdoing … but says he “intends to cooperate with local law enforcement agencies to reach a timely resolution to the matter.”

A rep for the WWE tells us, “We wish Maven nothing but the best.”
