My Thoughts

Really just a 1 match show this week.

The opening 2 matches were decent for what they were, and the Divas match was actually very solid, mostly because of Paige.

However, the main event is what this show was about this week. I thought it was good as Cesaro & Steamboat did a real good job of telling a story and keeping the big moves for the last 5 minutes. It was a real old school approach that you rarely see nowadays and I thought it was very refreshing. Steamboat got over as the sympathetic babyface while Cesaro played the foreigner heel role very nicely. The match was well paced, the timing was superb, and everything they did really clicked. I’m on the fence if this is a MOTY nomination match, but I will say that if you want a 1980s style match in 2012, then watch this match.

My Grade: B-
