More details on updated Wrestlemania 28 PPV buyrate

WWE revealed the latest buyrate figure for Wrestlemania 28 this week in the company’s second quarter earnings report. As reported earlier, the latest figure has the show doing 1,217,000 buys. This is up from Wrestlemania 27 last year that drew 1,114,000. This new breakdown has the show at 713,000 buys domestic (up from 663,000 in 2011) and 503,000 international according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. From a worldwide ranking, it bumps the show to No. 2 overall with Wrestlemania 23 holding the record (although it has a chance of beating that show with late buy figures still coming in). From a domestic ranking, it is one of the top Wrestlemania events of all time. Wrestlemania 23 also holds the record for domestic buys at 825,000.
