Donald Trump to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

WWE.com is reporting that Donald Trump will be the next inductee into the Class of 2013 WWE Hall of Fame this year during Wrestlemania 29 weekend. The ceremony will take place on 4/6 inside Madison Square Garden along with Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley, Bob Backlund and Trish Stratus. Vince McMahon is quoted in the article adding, “Donald is a global icon whose status brought an unmatched level of publicity and grandeur to WWE.”

Trump is also quoted in the article noting his involvement with WWE at Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit back in 2007. Trump added, “It was literally the thrill of a lifetime performing in front of 80,000 enthusiastic fans during the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ match at WrestleMania 23. I’ve always enjoyed and respected WWE’s brand of entertainment and look forward to the ceremony in my hometown at Madison Square Garden.”

WWE is expected to cover Trump’s induction tonight during RAW.
