The main reason why Tons of Funk vs. The Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins was cut from Wrestlemania 29 last night is because WWE wanted the top three matches (Cena/Rock, Taker/Punk, HHH/Lesnar) to get as much time as they wanted according to a report by Mike Johnson. This also caused some time to be cut from the Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio match as well as cutting the traditional singing of “America the Beautiful” by Lilian Garcia to open the show.
