WWE conducts investigation on claims made against DeMott

Jason Powell is reporting that WWE has conducted an investigation that stems from claims made against NXT head trainer Bill DeMott. These claims come from released NXT talent Chase Donovan and Chad Baxter, who recently appeared on a podcast hosted by former WWE developmental talent Kevin Matthews. In the podcast, they talked about a second hand story of DeMott pulling out a gun in front of trainees and firsthand accounts of DeMott using homophobic slurs during training sessions. There have also been claims of sexual harassment from released NXT talent against DeMott.

WWE issued the following statement to Powell yesterday: “There have been no sexual harassment complaints filed against any employee at the WWE’s training facility in Orlando. Instead there have been baseless allegations made by disgruntled talent recently released by WWE. Regardless, WWE takes these issues seriously and investigated this matter, concluding that there was no wrongdoing.”
