More on CM Punk leaving the 1/27 RAW taping in Cleveland

CM Punk ended up informing Vince McMahon that he would be leaving the 1/27 WWE RAW taping in Cleveland around 7:30 p.m. according to a new report by Dave Meltzer. McMahon was so busy at the taping that Punk didn’t end up meeting with him until a half hour before the show was to go live. This is why the Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston match ended up going much longer as a segment had been planned for Punk promo about Kane.

Regarding new reports that came out on Wednesday over a concussion and Batista. Punk did take a concussion test on Monday and he tested negative. The test had nothing to do with him leaving the taping. Batista returning and winning the Royal Rumble also had nothing to do with his departure as he stated publicly in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani that he was okay with his return and the role they had for him going forward.
