After skipping the Elimination Chamber event in February and deciding to carry Wrestlemania 30, DirecTV has officially decided to no longer carry WWE PPV events going forward in 2014 starting with next month’s Extreme Rules event on 5/4 according to a report by James Caldwell of PWTorch.com. A spokesperson for DirecTV stated that this decision could change “at any time.” WWE issued the following statement in response.
“Yes, DIRECTV has decided to stop offering our PPV’s residentially and commercially. The only other option would be to work through the local cable provider.”
