Sean Mooney on being part of the first ever RAW broadcast

Author Kevin Sullivan is featuring comments from former WWE announcer Sean Mooney that didn’t make the cut for his latest “WWE 50” book due to space restrictions. Mooney discussed a number of topics including being part of the first ever Monday Night RAW.

“When it was over, I think that we all got together and we were wrapping up, and I think we all knew that there was something really special about that night. The WWE was really doing something special. For me, that ‘s how I felt. When it was over and you had a chance to catch a breath, you were like, ‘That was pretty awesome.’ And the atmosphere just never let up. It was a very small crowd jam-packed into a small theater. It wasn’t kinda like the old-time TV studio. This was just electric from the second it started until it ended.”
