WWE executive says company is fine with YouTube footage

In what is a change of pace for the company, WWE Vice President of Digital and Print Rob Bernstein revealed at the Digital Sports Fan Engagement Conference in March that the company would not be going after archived WWE footage being added to YouTube. It was described as a “strategic decision” to get fans hooked on the product and to know that another on demand alternative exists (WWE Network) to see the footage. Bernstein believes that long-term this is a good move as it will get more fans exposed to the product and will want to spend more money down the line (more WWE Network subscribers).
