Syfy issued a press release on Thursday about a new series, “12 Monkeys”, that will be debuting on 1/16/15 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Currently, WWE Smackdown is on Syfy on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern in a two hour time slot. Unless the time slot is incorrect in the Syfy press release, this would seem to re-ignite the possibility of Smackdown moving to Thursday night as previously reported. It had appeared a couple months ago that Smackdown would indeed be moving to Thursday, but Syfy kept it on Friday night after releasing an updated fall 2014 schedule.
