WWE confirms The Great Khali is gone from company

WWE has confirmed that The Great Khali (Dalip Singh Rana) is no longer with the company according to a report by Dave Meltzer. Khali’s contract with WWE expired earlier this week and WWE chose not to renew it. It is said that Khali’s departure from WWE was not a surprise and had been talked about possibly happening over the course of the last week.

Khali signed with WWE in 2006, becoming the first Indian-born wrestler to sign with the company. Khali is most known for his feud with the Undertaker in 2006 and winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title on Smackdown in July 2007, holding the title for two months. Khali’s WWE.com profile was quietly moved to the Alumni section earlier this week before confirmation of his departure.
