“Furious 7” featuring The Rock, opened this past weekend at the box office to a record $348 million worldwide per a report by Mike Johnson. The film did $108 million domestically and $248 million internationally. This marks the biggest international opening for a Universal Studios movie, as well as the biggest April opening ever for IMAX theatres. “Furious 7” is the seventh installment in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise starring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. The movie also featured UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey in a small role.
