Jerry Lawler: WWE stars “far outshine” UFC stars worldwide

Steven Muehlhausen sent this in.

My name is Steven Muehlhausen and I am a MMA/UFC writer with SportingNews.com. I talked to WWE commentator and Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler at C2E2 convention in Chicago.

Lawler on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 31:

“I think a lot of people would look at that as saying, oh here’s a big star from the UFC coming into the WWE world. In the grand scheme of things, the stars in the WWE far outshine the stars in the UFC worldwide and in popularity. It’s always a great marriage so to speak. When you can get the rub off of each other. It’s like cross-promotion. It’s good for everybody involved. And to see Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring and I know for me because I’m a big fan of her, it was exciting, it was fun and it caused a bit of talk which is exactly what it was designed to do.”
