Samoa Joe agrees to full-time deal with WWE per reports

Samoa Joe has agreed to a full-time deal with WWE according to Sean Radican of PWTorch.com and other multiple wrestling media sources on Monday evening. Joe’s impressive merchandise sales following his debut on NXT two weeks ago was described as a big factor in having both Vince McMahon and Triple H push him to agree to a full-time deal.

Joe, who took part in a dark match prior to the RAW taping on Monday night in San Antonio against Tyson Kidd, will honor all previous independent bookings. What this means for his scheduled Ring of Honor appearance on 6/20 remains to be seen with the company recently coming to terms to air programming on Destination America starting this Wednesday.

A report by Mike Johnson stated that Joe’s agreement with WWE for NXT featured a clause allowing them to sign him to a full-time deal. WWE officials used that clause on Thursday.
