Backstage, Devin Taylor interviews Solomon Crowe. Crowe says he already knows what Devin is gonna ask. I’m feeling pretty beaten, but it ain’t nothing that I haven’t felt before. Last week, Kevin Owens gave me a beating, but I don’t regret a single thing I did because I got a chance to speak my mind to the Champ, Kevin Owens, and it was well worth it. Samoa Joe, I don’t know why he did what he did, but he’s alright by me if he wants to go toe-to-toe with the Champ. Believe me, Devin, when I get back, I will be better than ever and I will, I WILL be back in the ring with the NXT Champion.

We see video of Dana Brooke competing in the Arnold Classic event in Rio de Janeiro, noting that she has been invited to compete in the September Arnold Classic event in Spain and that Brooke will be competing again in NXT very soon.

We go to the entranceway as Greg Hamilton introduces WWE Diva Eva Marie for an interview. Eva comes out to new music. Hamilton notes that Eva was in attendance for the most recent TakeOver event. Crowd loudly boos Eva, chanting “you can’t wrestle” as she lets them get it out of their system. Eva says that she was at TakeOver to see what this buzz was all about and its about the women of NXT. And clearly, they stole the show. The women of NXT are revolutionizing this business and that is why I’m here. I’m very hopeful that I get the opportunity to compete with the best, right here at NXT.

Backstage, Devin Taylor interviews Rhyno. Rhyno says that he enjoyed going to war with Baron Corbin, but now its time I got back to what I really came here for. I came here to NXT to take my place at the top of the hottest thing going in this industry. Finn Balor is a top competitor, Finn Balor is dangerous in that ring, but his theatrics and his mind games are not gonna faze a psychotic Man-Beast like myself because when I Gore Finn, I will be one step closer to what I really came to NXT for and that is to become the NXT Champion.

Commercial

Back from commercial, we see video highlighting Sami Zayn recently undergoing shoulder surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Joesph Dugas says it was a dislocated shoulder that needed to be fixed. Dugas says that the surgery went well, although the injury was bigger than anticipated because of how much Zayn’s labrum was detached, as well as a tear in his rotator cuff that was probably there for a long time. Duga says Zayn should make a full recovery and be able to get back to wrestling at 100 percent.

The Vaudevillains (“The Artiste” Aiden English & Simon Gotch) vs. Jason Jordan & Marcus Louis

Gotch & Louis start. Gotch with chain wrestling early. English in, double gut shot and double jabs by the Vaudevillains for 2. “That was manly” chants by the crowd. Commercial

Back from commercial, Finn Balor says that Japan is a country that I forged my career in and won 11 championships. To return to Japan to face Kevin Owens for the NXT Title, to say I’m excited is an absolute understatement. Don’t get me wrong, I am not overlooking Kevin Owens for one second. I’ve seen what he’s done to Sami Zayn at TakeOver and now, Zayn recovering in a hospital. Everyone seen what he did to John Cena last Sunday at Elimination Chamber right in the middle of the ring. Kevin Owens is the real deal, but Kevin Owens is about to meet the Demon. Kevin Owens, you may walk into Tokyo on July 4th as NXT Champion, but Finn Balor will be walking out of Tokyo as NXT Champion. First things first, Finn Balor takes on Rhyno tonight on NXT.

Balor fights back, then catches Rhyno on the middle rope with an enziguri, sending Rhyno outside. Balor with a head of steam, flip dive wipes out Rhyno! Balor poses as we go to commercial.
