Episode 73: The nWo with Scott Hall

In this episode the guys talk about the biggest faction to ever happen in pro wrestling, The New World Order! They discuss if the group was most effective with only three members. And in the end was there just too much nWo? Joining them is WWE Hall of Famer and original nWo member Scott Hall. He talks about his SummerSlam weekend experience. His thoughts on NXT. And the possibility of coming back to work for the WWE behind the scenes and more!

Excerpt:

AWP- You just spent some time with the WWE during Summerslam weekend, what was that experience like for you? Did you have a lot of fun?

Scott- It was great I liked being around all my old buddies. I really enjoyed the NXT show, the energy was non stop in the building. I have a young son Cody who is in New Japan now and he is breaking into pro wrestling and I feel really connected to wrestling for the first time in a long time, you know when you aren’t actively in the ring you lose that connection but with my son I watched more wrestling in the past year than I had in the past 5.

AWP- Scott a lot of your friends and co workers now work for WWE in some capacity, have you given any thoughts to coming back to work for the WWE behind the scenes?

Scott- I would certainly welcome that opportunity. I think the best thing I could do to put myself in that position would be to continue to make good choices. You know
and do the right thing. WWE has always been there for me even when I was the guy who left and caused the shift in the ratings The WWE was there for me when I wasn’t there for myself. I paid for the first 5 or 6 rehabs they paid for the second 5 or 6. So there has always been that relationship there. Now it’s up to me to continue to keep my stuff together. I’ve learned that when I’m doing the right things and keeping my stuff clean and straight my phone rings, like opportunities are there. So I am just focused on that if it’s meant to happen it will happen I would love to work there.

AWP- When Cody decided to become a wrestler what is the biggest piece of advice you gave him?

Scott- Make good choices. I broke in an era when using drugs was really prevalent on the wrestling scene. I am happy to report that its not that way anymore. I was talking to Cody about some of the guys in Japan. Aj Styles of course I know… but I haven’t met the Young Bucks in person although I feel flattered they almost do and now tribute in their work. He says like Aj they don’t drink they do don’t drugs, the young bucks don’t drink they don’t do drugs and they are kinda the top guys over there in new japan right now so I am really glad that cody is getting to hang around that side of wrestling. Because he certainly witnessed it first hand the other side you know being around me. I’m not going to say booze and drugs don’t work because i’d be a hypocrite they do work. What sucks is when you want to quit and you can’t.
