11/28 WWE Results: Kansas City, Missouri (Sheamus/Reigns)

11/28 WWE Results: Kansas City, Missouri

Drew passed along this live report.

The arena was probably about 75% full. Quite a few empty seats. It was a cold, slick night outside which may have had something to do with it.

RESULTS:

– Ryback defeated Erick Rowan. The crowd hated Rowan big-time.

– Zack Ryder defeated Bo Dallas.

– For the NXT Championship, the NXT Champion Finn Balor retained against Baron Corbin. Corbin got a typical home-crowd response. I would say the crowd was about 50% for Balor, 50% for Corbin.

– In a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship, Kevin Owens defeated Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler. Ambrose landed Dirty Deeds on Ziggler. Owens pulled Ambrose out of the ring, crawled in and pinned Ziggler for the win. Several “This Is Awesome!” chants broke out during this match. It was a huge spot-fest.

– In a Six-Man Tag Team match, Demon Kane and The Usos defeated Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Luke Harper. Kane pinned Harper after a Chokeslam.

– In a Diva’s Tag Team match, Diva’s Champion Charlotte and Becky Lynch defeated Naomi and Sasha Banks.

– For the United States Championship, the United States Champion Alberto del Rio retained against Neville. The crowd loved Alberto.

– The main event was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, pitting champion Sheamus against Roman Reigns. Reigns was the victor, via DQ. Kevin Owens came down and attacked Reigns before he could Spear Sheamus. Owens and Sheamus double-teamed Reigns until Dean Ambrose came out to even the odds! The show ended with Ambrose and Reigns celebrating with the fans.

NOTE: This crowd was 100% anti-Sheamus. The arena was erupting with chants of “You look stupid!” and “Sheamus Sucks!”

Great night of action! If you are going to a show on this tour, you’re in for a treat!
