Orlando mayor talks about WrestleMania returning in 2017

Brian Fritz of Orlandosentinel.com passed along a new article looking more about the announcement on Monday that Wrestlemania 33 would be held at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida on April 3, 2017, the second time Wrestlemania will be held there since Wrestlemania 24 in 2008.

In the article, WWE’s Executive VP of Special Events, John Saboor and the mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, talk about the renovations made to the Citrus Bowl since WWE was last there in 2008.

Saboor: “All of us were very favorably impressed by all of the improvements made to the Citrus Bowl, those improvements will provide an unprecedented experience with the WWE universe attending and the millions more watching around the world.”

Dyer: “I think just like many other events, like Copa [the Copa America Centenario soccer tournament], like the Rolling Stones, we’re attracting all types of events to the Citrus Bowl that we would not have been able to do but for the upgrade with the renovation to the Citrus Bowl, no question about it.”

A press conference to officially announce Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando in 2017 will be held on Tuesday at 11AM ET.
