Steve Austin

During a recent episode of “The Steve Austin Show” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin addressed the possibility of Joanie “Chyna” Laurer getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame following her passing and why he it may not ever be enough.

“I don’t think it will ever be right because she didn’t go into the Hall of Fame while she was alive, living and breathing with us. And I thought she earned the right to be in the Hall of Fame and to put her in there posthumously, if I’m saying that word correctly, man, it’s just not good enough. I don’t know how you rectify that, how you deal with that, because things are just screwed up. Her going into the Hall of Fame is just so small in comparison to the fact that this young lady is no longer with us. I don’t know what to make of it.”

  1. they should gone ahead and bypass what she did outside the arena but I am sure knowing how ignorant and dead on stuck in their ways the WWE is Chyna being inducted in next year’s HOF is about as stale as a month old box of Corn Flakes

  2. I think they already are (and have) by adding her to the WWE Network collection, tweeting about her (from the top) like crazy, the video package they put together right away for Raw, etc.

  3. she should have been years ago, but typical wwe fashion they wait until someone they hadnt been on good terms with outside the ring die first before putting them into the hof to save face. they did the same thing to randy savage too.

  4. im going to say hhh prob had alot to do with her not being in the hof while she was alive. hhh couldnt stand chyna after their fallout and being the bosses daughter and all im sure he had alot to do with it.

  5. Steve Austin preaches the Stone Cold truth as usual. I’m torn over putting Chyna in their HOF now. Yes she absolutely deserves it but I’d hate to see her death used as a PR stunt to help WWE and it’s 2 biggest rotten bureaucrats, HHH & Stephanie, save face.

  6. while Steve does has a point at least she would be getting into the HOF which is what fans have wanted

  7. On what Chyna did for the wrestling business and women’s wrestling in general does she deserve to be in the HOF, definitely. However what you cannot take away is the fact that after leaving the WWE, she did porn, that in the corporate world of the WWE is unacceptable. Think of it this way, a young WWE fan watches Raw and views that they are going to induct Chyna into the WWE HOF and decides to look on the Internet for Chyna. The first things they will see is the stuff she did on porn. I know it is not the best way to look at it, but in there world it is the only way the WWE can look at it.

  8. I have to believe that the way she was in public the last few years also had something to do with it. She would show up to places wasted, looking ragged and unable to speak, sometimes barely able to stand. Not exactly the kind of person that you want to get in front of that crowd on WrestleMania weekend.

  9. funny how a couple months ago everyone was ripping her apart when that radio interview came out that Pac called in to, and now she’s died apparently she’s a badly-done-to saint.

  10. Who knows? Not sure how that matters considering that X-Pac did one video 10+ years ago with Chyna. Chyna straight up became a porn actor and did a video where she was gang banged by 5 or 6 dudes with one of the dudes pretending to be Vince McMahan. To even act like Chyna and X-Pac are on equal grounds in terms of porn acting is silly at best.
