Ryback in possible contract dispute with WWE, pulled from RAW on Monday in St. Louis, antics during Payback Kickoff

Ryback in possible contract dispute with WWE

Ryback (Ryan Reeves) was pulled from Monday’s WWE RAW taping in St. Louis after being scheduled to take part in a Battle Royal to determine a new No. 1 Contender for the WWE United States Championship as he is reportedly at odds with WWE regarding a possible contract dispute according to multiple wrestling media reports.

A new report by PWInsider late Monday night claims that Ryback was already sent home and is off WWE television indefinitely. This same report indicated that Ryback may have requested to be pulled off WWE television as he continues negotiations before his current contract with WWE expires later this summer.

We reported a few weeks ago on an interview Ryback took part in with Myles Galloway while in Dubai noting that he was not pleased with his spot on the WrestleMania 32 card this year in Dallas when his United States Championship match with Kalisto was shifted to take place during the Kickoff show instead.

“The last three WrestleMania’s have not been great and I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on that, but it would have been nice to be on the show where (we) both of us belonged.”

Ryback wears “Pre-Show Stopper” weight belt, mocks CM Punk during Payback

Ryback took on Kalisto for the WWE United States Championship on Sunday during the Payback Kickoff show and certainly went out of his way to get some attention. Before the match, Ryback mocked former WWE star Phil “CM Punk” Brooks during his entrance (most likely stemming from comments by Punk back in 2014 during a Colt Cabana podcast) and wore a “Pre-Show Stopper” weight belt, playing off the fact that he has been put on two pre-show events in a row since WrestleMania in April. He once again lost during the Kickoff show to Kalisto in what could end up being his last WWE appearance for the foreseeable future. Ryback has not issued any comments on his official Twitter page as of late Monday night.
