WWE makes major announcements in China, multi-year streaming deal, live event on September 10, first Chinese talent

WWE made a series of major announcements on Thursday at a press conference in Shanghai, China that featured appearances by WWE COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque and John Cena. The announcements made by WWE about their continuing expansion into China included the following:

* A new multi-year streaming deal with PPTV and PPTV Sports where WWE fans in China can stream RAW and Smackdown beginning on June 28 in Mandarin.

* A WWE live event in Shanghai, China on September 10 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, which will be WWE’s first live event in China since 2010.

* The first Chinese superstar signed to a WWE developmental deal in 22-year old Bin Wang, who has trained at IGF in Japan that is headed by Antonio Inoki.
