Jerry Lawler

LocalMemphis.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and Lauryn McBride (Lawler’s fiance) were both released on bail from the Shelby County Jail in Memphis, Tennessee this afternoon.

Both Lawler and McBride were booked into the Shelby County Jail at 1:00 a.m. on Friday morning after getting into a domestic dispute at Lawler’s home in East Memphis. Lawler spoke with WMC Action News 5 disputing claims over his arrest in a police statement.

As reported earlier, Lawler and McBride have a scheduled court date this Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. local time. Lawler has been “suspended indefinitely” by WWE following his arrest citing “zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence.”

  1. Jeez Jerry!! You go through women faster than Ric Flair & Larry King put together. And Lawler joins WWE’s “morally untouchable” list along with Benoit, Hogan, Nash (temporarily), Chyna (until recently), & Snuka.

  2. Has Been!!! All the old talent *uck up. Its in their blood. The Old talent are a bunch of drug addicts, wife beaters and quite a few murders too.

  3. Nothing really. Over this past Christmas his son came home drunk, an argument ensued, and Nash & his son got into a scuffle which the son started. Even though Nash was acting in self defense and in defense of his wife, the police arrested him for whatever reason even though Nash just forced his son to the ground and held him there until he calmed down. To make matters worse, the son came back later and actually assaulted his mother for which the police finally did arrest him. Even though Nash didn’t do anything wrong at all, WWE, pillar of rectitude & virtue that it is, suspended him for their zero tolerance domestic violence thing.
Nash later got back in WWE’s morally good graces when the D.A. rightfully dropped all charges.
