Brock Lesnar also failed in-competition USADA drug test taken on the day of UFC 200 on July 9, UFC comments

Brock Lesnar

The UFC announced on Tuesday that in addition to Brock Lesnar being flagged for a potentail USADA out-of-competition drug test taken on June 28, the current WWE star was also flagged for an in-competition drug test failure stemming from a sample taken on July 9 during the day of UFC 200 in Las Vegas.

UFC issued the following statement.

“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. The Nevada State Athletic Commission also retains jurisdiction over this matter as the sample collection was performed at UFC 200 in Las Vegas. Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”

A report by MMAFighting.com revealed that Lesnar failed both USADA tests for the same banned substance, a substance USADA has yet to reveal and won’t unless Lesnar makes it public himself. Lesnar told The Associated Press over the weekend that he planned to “get to the bottom of this” when responding to news of the first potential USADA violation.

Wrestleview.com reached out to WWE today and they are still taking the same stance that was first made clear on Friday that Lesnar hasn’t performed for the company since WrestleMania and is scheduled to return at SummerSlam on August 21.
