During last night’s 10/10 WWE RAW in Oakland, Paul Heyman issued a challenge to Bill Goldberg on behalf of his client Brock Lesnar in what he dubbed as “icon vs. icon.”
Bill Goldberg then took to Twitter to officially announce that he would be appearing on next week’s 10/17 WWE RAW in Denver to answer the challenge from Heyman.

This will end up being Goldberg’s first appearance on WWE television in a live setting since 2004 following his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20. Both Lesnar and Goldberg officially exited the company after the match in what was a year long run for Goldberg with WWE. Despite negative comments in public about his run with WWE for the better part of the last decade, Goldberg began working with 2K Games for the upcoming WWE 2K17 video game release and it would confirm reports in recent weeks speculating that a match between Goldberg and Lesnar was planned for Survivor Series on 11/20.
