Business Week has an article at this link titled “WWE Channels SNL” in focusing on the company featuring special guest hosts on Monday Night Raw.
USA Network’s executive vice-president for marketing and brand strategy Chris McCumber added, “They have something to promote, and we have the platform that they need. Raw is like a male soap opera anyway. We’re just adding a little more entertainment.”
Stephanie McMahon stated in the interview that other future hosts in the plans include Freddie Prinze Jr. (a former WWE creative team member), Reverend Al Sharpton and former “Price is Right” game show host Bob Barker. Stephanie added, “When Donald took over we realized that our audience wanted to see something new. We have the ability to change our story line to suit whoever hosts.”
