WWE posts their Q4 2016 earnings

WWE released their earnings report on Thursday morning for the third quarter of 2016. Some highlights of the report include the following:

* Revenue of $164.2 million was right on par with Q3 2015, thanks in large part to the productions of Tough Enough and Total Divas, but is down from $199 million in Q2 2016.

* Revenue for 2016-to date wentVin up 8 percent from 2015 to $534.3 million.

* WWE Network subscribers went up 24 percent from Q3 2015 and currently sits at an average of 1.46 million paid subscribers.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon commented on the Q3 2016 earnings report:

“During the quarter, we continued to effectively execute our content strategy, which has resulted in record revenues to-date in 2016 and increased consumption across our media platforms,” said WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. “This growth illustrates meaningful progress against our long-term strategic plan and provides the foundation for achieving our 2017 financial objectives.”
