Zack Ryder reveals he is undergoing knee surgery

WWE star Zack Ryder revealed on Twitter on Thursday morning that he flew to Birmingham, Alabama to under surgery on his knee. A report by WWE.com on Tuesday night revealed that Ryder suffered some kind of an injury to his kneecap or patella.

More on Brock Lesnar serving a one year suspension

As reported earlier, WWE star Brock Lesnar has been fined $250,000 by the Nevada Athletic Commission and ordered to serve a one year suspension as a result of two failed drug tests around the time of UFC 200 back in July. Lesnar made his return to mixed martial arts at the event defeating Mark Hunt. The result of that fight has now been overturned and changed to a no contest due to the drug test failures.

WWE revealed in late July that Lesnar would not be suspended by the company regarding his two USADA drug test failures after testing positive for hydroxy-clomiphene, a drug commonly used when getting off a steroid cycle. WWE stated the company’s Talent Wellness policy did not apply to “part-time performers such as Brock Lesnar.”

The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online noted that the suspension would be officially recognized by athletic commissions throughout North America, meaning states that still license pro wrestlers where Lesnar may perform for WWE could prevent him from appearing until July. While not likely given his limited WWE schedule, it’s still possible.
