WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings for July 31:
– New WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy kicks off the show and said it is a dream to be champion right now. Hardy announces he will defend his title tonight against John Morrison. Cryme Tyme then come out and celebrate with Hardy.
– Cryme Tyme def. The Hart Dynasty to become the #1 contenders for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships. Cryme Tyme will face Chris Jericho & Big Show at SummerSlam. After the match, Jericho and Show came out to hype up the match.
– Melina & Eve Torres def. WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla.
– WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio & Finlay def. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox.
– The Great Khali vs. Charlie Haas ended in a No Contest when Kane interfered.
– Jeff Hardy def. John Morrison to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
