WWE presents Starrcade tonight in Greensboro

WWE will present a special Starrcade themed event tonight in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Greensboro Coliseum, the first event at the arena in 30 years.

The company is advertising appearances by Ric Flair, The Hardy Boyz, Ricky Steamboat and the Rock-n-Roll Express along with a series of scheduled matches.

The card will feature:

* AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal (WWE Championship)
* Charlotte vs. Natalya (Steel Cage, Smackdown Women’s Championship)
* The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin (Smackdown Tag Team Championships)
* Baron Corbon vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE United States Championship)
* Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler
* Dustin Rhodes (Goldust) vs. Dash Wilder

The event will not be broadcast on the WWE Network, although it is like WWE will be capturing footage of the event later tonight in Greensboro.

  1. So much for this being another PPV (or whatever they are called now thanks to the network) like it seemed they were implying.

  2. Not making this a WWE Network special event is a DEEPLY stupid idea. Way to shit on the legacy of Starrcade by just making it a glorified House Show.

  3. I appreciate that they’re doing this in/for Greensboro, but the fact that we’d heard nothing about it before yesterday and that they’re not televising it, makes it feel like a half-assed gesture and a missed opportunity.

  4. I agree with you except for not hearing anything about it – it was everywhere when it was announced – I was tired of seeing it.
