New match and entrant set for the Royal Rumble PPV
Following last night’s 1/9 episode of Smackdown Live, new Royal Rumble matches and entrants were announced for the upcoming PPV on January 28 in Philadelphia.
Becky Lynch has been added to the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, while The Usos will defend the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls Match against Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable.
The updated card for the Royal Rumble is as follows:
* Men’s Royal Rumble Match featuring Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Elias, John Cena, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Bray Wyatt, Woken Matt Hardy and Baron Corbin
* Women’s Royal Rumble Match featuring Asuka, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Tamina, Carmella, Lana, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan
* WWE Universal Title: Brock Lesnar (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. Braun Strowman vs. Kane
* WWE Title, Handicap Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
* RAW Tag Team Titles: Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan (c’s) vs. The Bar
* Smackdown Tag Team Titles, 2/3 Falls Match: The Usos (c’s) vs. Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable
More Legends set for RAW 25
Several more WWE Legends have been added to the 25th Anniversary of RAW episode on January 22 in New York City, including the following:
* Ted DiBiase
* Brother Love
* The Boogeyman
* Sgt. Slaughter
* The Godfather
* Theodore Long
* John Laurinaitis
Those names join other big names including Stone Cold Steve Austin, DX, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash as appearing on the RAW 25th Anniversary episode, which will take place at both the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Manhattan Center as a simulcast.
