WWE US Title tournament Finals off Royal Rumble PPV

The WWE US Title Tournament Finals, set to originally take place at the Royal Rumble PPV on January 28 in Philadelphia, have been pulled from the event and will now take place on next week’s 1/23 episode of Smackdown Live from Washington, DC.

The change was announced as part of WWE.com official preview synopsis for tonight’s Smackdown Live from Laredo, Texas.

“The United States Championship picture will become a little clearer this Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE when Team Blue plays host to two thrilling semifinal matchups in the tournament to crown a new titleholder. Xavier Woods will face Jinder Mahal, and Bobby Roode will square off against Mojo Rawley for the right to advance to the tournament finals next Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE. Who will move one step closer to the star-spangled title? Find out on SmackDown LIVE, this Tuesday at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

NXT heading to the Midwest

WWE COO Triple H posted the following on Twitter on Monday afternoon, announcing new NXT live event touring dates for March in the Mid-West area.
