US Title Tournament continues on Smackdown Live

WWE Smackdown Live takes place tonight in Laredo, Texas.

Advertised for tonight’s show is a pair of semifinal matches part of the current WWE United States Championship tournament. Scheduled to face off tonight includes Jinder Mahal vs. Xavier Woods and Bobby Roode vs. Mojo Rawley.

As reported earlier, the finals of the United States Championship Tournament has been bumped off the Royal Rumble PPV and will now take place on next week’s show (January 23) live from Washington, DC featuring the winners of tonight’s matches.

Also set for the show is Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Naomi vs. The Riott Squad and more fallout involving Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn following last week.

WWE Mixed Match Challenge debuts

Tonight marks the debut of the new WWE Mixed Match Challenge series.

The 12 week series, which will air on Facebook Watch, will go live immediately following Smackdown Live at 10:00 p.m. Eastern (9:00 CT).

Scheduled for the first show is Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya vs. Finn Balor and Sasha Banks. The show is estimated to only run for a half hour on Facebook.
