WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings for May 8:
– WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio is out and issues an open challenge to anyone with his title on the line. Chris Jericho walks out and accepts. Jeff Hardy then comes out and said that if Jericho beats him tonight he can get back in the title picture. Teddy Long makes it official so if Jericho wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Judgment Day becomes a triple threat.
– Mike Knox defeated R-Truth.
– Michelle McCool defeated Gail Kim.
– Backstage, Edge complains to Teddy Long. Long makes Edge vs. CM Punk tonight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
– John Morrison defeated Charlie Haas.
– CM Punk defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge via count out; Edge retains title. Edge simply walked out on the match. Umaga then took out Punk. Umaga vs. Punk at Judgment Day is announced.
– Eve Torres defeated Layla in an arm wrestling match.
– The Great Khali defeated Dolph Ziggler via DQ following a chair shot.
– Jeff Hardy defeated Chris Jericho.
