Samoa Joe pulled from Royal Rumble match

WWE.com is no longer advertising Samoa Joe for the 30 Man Over-The-Top-Rope Royal Rumble match in two weeks in Philadelphia.

As reported on earlier, Joe suffered an injury during an episode of RAW in Memphis earlier this month that was described as a “plantar fascia rupture” at the time.

In addition to be pulled from the Royal Rumble match, WWE has also removed Joe from advertising through mid-March including a scheduled MSG main event on March 16.

WWE posted this video of Joe’s foot being examined after the injury.

205 Live events set for this weekend

WWE will be presenting the first ever 205 Live house shows this weekend with events in Lowell, Massachusetts on Saturday and Poughkeepsie, New York on Sunday.

Advertised for the shows includes WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore, Hideo Itami, Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt, Nia Jax, Cedric Alexander, Jack Gallagher and more.

WWE canceled a previously scheduled show in Kingston, Rhode Island.
