Fox Sports hosts continue to hint at WWE relationship

During yesterday’s edition of “Speak For Yourself”, Fox Sports personalitiesĀ Jason Whitlock and Colin Cowherd discussed Cowherd attending Smackdown Live in Los Angeles this past Tuesday and continued to hint at a possible new relationship with WWE.

Cowherd, a long-time critic of professional wrestling, compared attending WWE live to a “rock concert” and that he had a blast. He talked about meeting Stephanie McMahon and said it was a very professionally run organization.

At the end of the segment, Cowherd noted WWE was “coming to a network near you.” As noted yesterday, FOX was among many networks that were looking at becoming a potential suitor when WWE’s current TV rights with NBC Universal expire next year.

Matt Hardy teases Ultimate Deletion

WWE.com is featuring an article covering a recent tweet by “Woken” Matt Hardy where he teases that a “Great War” and “Ultimate Deletion” is coming with Bray Wyatt.

Hardy noted back in January that he expected some form of a “Final Deletion” type segment to take place on WWE programming in the future.

  1. My only wish is that they wouldn’t waste The Broken Universe and Final Deletion on Bray Wyatt where the feud has gone nowhere and I’m of a strong belief it can’t be saved. This could be big if that had Hardy against the right people / person but I think it’s been proven that Wyatt isn’t that person UNLESS Harper and Rowan re-joined Bray and they brought in the Hardy family (and shortly after Jeff returned). Now that could truly be something that could go over in a massive way. If Jeff wasn’t back in time, they’d have to add a new member or two who could help Matt in the ring mind you, but that could make that work with someone like Hurricane who just made a brief return or Shannon Moore even though they perhaps wouldn’t pose much of a Wyatt threat. The reason they would work is there connection to The Hardys. Edge and Christian if they were still active would be more ideal but long story short, with minimal investment (ie. short term contracts for Moore, Helms, the Hardy family) they could actually bring something special together. Otherwise, build final deletion with someone else šŸ™‚

  2. I agree about Wyatt. The thing I find is that he’s not scary or evil anymore. When he laughs at the camera it’s supposed to be scary but its just sad, and I was at a live event last year where people were laughing during his promos. I relate it to Asuka, who had an evil presence in NXT and her grin was scary, now on the main roster she is smiling all the time and doesn’t look threatening at all.

  3. If Colin Coward ever walks the isle to the ring, they need to hit The Million Dollar Man’s Theme.
