Happy Veterans Day to all the men and women who have served and will serve to protect our freedom.
“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
A video airs that highlights the events that took place at the end of last week’s RAW. Big Show forced the Authority to give him his job back by threatening them with a massive lawsuit. Big Show was also given a WWE Championship match against Randy Orton at Survivor Series. After that, he was put into a handicap match against The Shield and Orton. Big Show was overcoming the odds during that match until Kane came out dressed in a suit. Big Show was then put through a table.
We’re brought into the arena to see the fans of the United Kingdom. Michael Cole welcomes us to the show alongside Jerry “The King” Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield. Cole announces that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will not be there tonight as they are on vacation.
Randy Orton’s music hits, and the WWE Champion makes his way to the ring to the sound of jeers. Orton says it looks like Big Show has gotten his job back, and he also blackmailed his way into a title match against himself. If anyone saw the beat down that he gave to the Big Show with the help of The Shield, then they would agree with him that he will be victorious at Survivor Series. He will retain the WWE Title and retain his status as the “Face of the WWE.” While Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are on a well-deserved vacation, he is in charge of Monday Night RAW.
Brad Maddox excuses himself and makes his way to the ring to a nice pop. Maddox appreciates Mr. Kane trying to help out around here, but he is the General Manager of Monday Night RAW. Therefore, he has the authority and responsibility to be in charge of this week’s Monday Night RAW.
Maddox goes to make a match, but Kane’s music hits, and the Director of Operations makes his way to the ring in a suit. The crowd chants at him, “You sold out!” Kane says last week, the Authority made him the Director of Operations. That means in the absence of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon that he is in charge tonight. Maddox says he’s had this gig for quite a while, so maybe Kane should follow his lead. Maddox then books Randy Orton versus one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes. Kane shuts down those plans, and he books Orton versus Goldust. Maddox and Kane argue over who they want to face Orton. Orton tells them to make up their minds because he cannot face the both of them.
EXCUSE ME! Vickie Guerrero comes out to a massive amount of heat. Vickie says that she wants to wish Triple H and Stephanie McMahon a wonderful vacation. Unlike Maddox and Kane, she has complete confidence in Orton’s skills. As the former General Manager of RAW and the current General Manager of Smackdown, she is the voice of reason. The arena is completely unglued for this whole segment. She thinks if The Authority was to see whatever is best for business, they would agree with Orton’s idea. Tonight, Orton will face both Cody Rhodes and Goldust in a two-on-one handicap match. The crowd goes nuts with “YES!” chants at that announcement.
Cody Rhodes and Goldust make their way to the ring to face Randy Orton. That match is next.

Paul Heyman is sitting in the ring in a wheelchair with a neck brace on and his left leg in a cast. Curtis Axel is standing behind him. Heyman says his name, and he says the crowd’s hero, CM Punk, gave all of these injuries to him. They chant Punk’s name. Heyman says that tickles the fancy of their obviously limited imaginations, but Punk could never have done this to him all by himself. Punk had a whole lot of help. For example, he had help from that big ugly dummy Ryback. Heyman says he took Ryback under his wing, nourished him, and gave him a chance to be a Paul Heyman guy. Thank God he never accepted. What does Ryback do? He guarantees him that his mantra in life is “Feed me more,” but we all know that with CM Punk, Ryback bit off more than he could chew. He doesn’t just blame Ryback and CM Punk – he blames everyone in the WWE Universe.
