“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

Still photos are shown from the main event of WWE Elimination Chamber between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose was initially declared the winner after a second referee ran down and counted the pin. The first referee, who was injured as a result of Rollins’ actions, overturned the call and gave the win to Ambrose by disqualification. Ambrose then stole the title and ran off.

The Authority addresses Dean Ambrose’s theft of the title

The Authority’s music hits. Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Seth Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security make their way to the ring looking none too pleased. They get into the ring as the crowd loudly boos them. Stephanie McMahon says just because Dean Ambrose stole the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it doesn’t make him a champion. Ambrose is like a kleptomaniac; all he can do is steal. Ambrose has stolen the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Rollins’ Money in the Bank contract, and he was arrested for assault last week. Stephanie wonders if they should fine or suspend Ambrose. She then suggests they get rid of Ambrose. Triple H says they won’t have to do that at all. While Ambrose may be crazy, he isn’t stupid. Triple H gave Ambrose until the beginning of RAW to return what does not belong to him. Triple H tells Ambrose to crawl out of whatever little hole he’s hiding in and bring the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with him. Ambrose needs to return it to the champion, and then they’ll discuss what happens after that. A loud “Justin Bieber” chant breaks out. The Authority angrily looks at the crowd. Triple H tells the crowd to shut up before saying to Ambrose that he’s waiting. Finally, Triple H shouts, “Ambrose, get your ass out here now!”

Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a huge reception. Reigns gets in the ring and says it seems like San Antonio is happy to see him. Reigns says Ambrose isn’t stupid, and he isn’t here either. Ambrose may never come back unless at Money in the Bank he gets a rematch. Triple H just stares angrily at Reigns. Reigns says Ambrose doesn’t just want any rematch; he wants a ladder match. That way there’s no confusion. Whoever has the title will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Stephanie says they’re not going to negotiate with low life miscreants like Ambrose and Reigns. Reigns tells her to consider it because that lowlife beat Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie says he stole it. Reigns says hitting Dirty Deeds and pinning him in the middle of the ring sounds like a defeat. Rollins says he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The crowd chants, “You got beat!” Reigns says the writing is on the wall. Rollins isn’t as good as he thinks he is. Ambrose has beaten Rollins. Reigns himself has beaten Rollins. Rollins isn’t as cool without The Shield. Now he has the tiniest security force on earth. Rollins may be the worst WWE Champion ever.

Rollins angrily says that Reigns can tell Ambrose he has his rematch. Stephanie suggests they let cooler heads prevail, but Rollins insists he knows what he’s doing. Rollins says Ambrose has his rematch. At Money in the Bank, he’ll prove to everyone in the ring he doesn’t need their help. Rollins doesn’t need J&J, and he doesn’t need a 7-foot piece of crap. At Money in the Bank, he’ll prove who the WWE World Heavyweight Champion really is. Rollins then angrily storms off as Triple H tries to stop him.

Stephanie gets in Reigns’ face and wonders who the hell he thinks he is. Triple H stops her and answers her questions. Triple H says this is Roman Reigns, one of the participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in a couple of weeks. That’s the event where you grab a contract, which is good for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship any place, any time. Reigns remembers that contract when Rollins destroyed Reigns’ hopes and dreams with that contract. Triple H remembers it too. Reigns is in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match… maybe. Maybe Reigns won’t be after tonight. If Reigns loses tonight, he’s out of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Reigns loses his hopes and dreams again. Just so there’s no long, drawn out anticipation, Triple H tells him to stay in the ring. He’s going to go find an opponent for him right now. Triple H and the rest of The Authority then leave the ring. We’ll find out who is facing Reigns, next.

Barrett drives his knee into Reigns’ spine and applies a surfboard stretch. Reigns eventually fights up and punches out. Reigns sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Barrett then runs into a Samoan Drop. They trade punches, and Barrett cuts him off with a kick. Barrett hits the ropes, but Reigns follows him in and clotheslines him down.

Barrett reverses a whip, but Reigns takes him out with a leaping clothesline for a two count. Barrett goes for The Wasteland, but Reigns slides off. Reigns ducks a clothesline and runs into Winds of Change for a near fall. Barrett cannot believe it. Barrett turns his elbow pad inside out and waits for Reigns to get up. Reigns ducks the Royal Bull Hammer, rolls him up, lifts him up with one arm, and slams him down for a near fall. Reigns gets to his feet and punches the mat. Barrett goes to the apron and rakes the eyes. Barrett sets up for the Royal Bull Hammer, but Reigns ducks it and spears him down for the win.

Kevin Owens talks about his victory over John Cena last night

NXT Champion Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring. The commentators talk about how Owens defeated John Cena in his debut WWE match. Owens mentions when he says he’s going to do something, he delivers. When he got to NXT and said he’d win the title, he delivered. When he said he was going to take out Sami Zayn, he delivered. When he said he was going to leave John Cena lying at WWE Elimination Chamber, he delivered. A “Fight, Owens, fight,” chant breaks out. Owens says last night was the biggest win of his career so far. He should be on top of the world, but he’s not. The first thing he did was call home. His wife told him how happy and proud she was, which meant a lot. Then he spoke to his son, who is a huge John Cena fan. The crowd loudly boos that. All his son could do was ask if Cena was ok. Owens gets it because his son has been watching Cena for years. Just because he understands doesn’t make it ok. It’s not his son’s fault. It’s blind worship. For the last decade, Cena has been portrayed as a living, breathing real life superhero. While he traveled the world for over ten years honing his craft in hopes of making it to WWE, Cena was influencing his son. That’s when Cena became the hero to his son that he never got the chance to be because he wasn’t featured on WWE television every week. That’s when Cena became “Super Cena.”

A “Let’s go Cena/Cena sucks,” chant breaks out. Owens says he beat Super Cena last night. Those ridiculous words of “Hustle, loyalty, and respect,” are being uttered by an empty shell of a man. In two weeks at WWE Money in the Bank when he beats him again, he’s going to expose the lie of John Cena. Owens will make sure his son watches every single second. If you’re a parent with a kid begging for a Cena shirt or themed birthday party, he suggests they sit their kid down and have them watch. Owens will show that a real role model doesn’t rely on marketing and catchphrases. A real role model says what they’ll do and delivers, just like he does. Owens then holds up the NXT Championship.

John Cena’s music hits, and he comes out to a huge ovation. Cena gets in the ring and holds up the WWE United States Championship. Cena says, “Man, Kevin Owens is a jackass.” Cena tells Owens to stop talking. Owens needs to act like he’s been there before and shut up. After last night, the entire world is talking about Elimination Chamber. People are calling it the debut of the decade. The entire world is talking about Kevin Owens. The crowd chants, “You got beat.” Cena says they are saying the truth because last night in what can be called the most unbelievable debut in WWE history, Owens took him to the limit and beat him. Ever since he’s had this United States Championship, some superstar is going to walk down the ramp and take the title with him. Until five minutes ago when Owens opened up his trap, he was going to walk down, shake his hand, and give him the title because he deserves it. Cena now thinks Owens doesn’t deserve it. Owens also doesn’t deserve the NXT Championship. Owens did win it. It’s not because he’s not a great wrestler. Owens is just too concerned with being a real role model when he’s not even a real man. A real man throws jealousy aside and doesn’t judge another man by how they live their life. Cena wonders if Owens wants to know why his son feels the way he feels. It’s not because of the WWE marketing machine. If that were the case, he’d have an Adam Rose t-shirt, still love the Funkasaurus, and want to play in the XFL. Owens son feels the way he feels because of the people in the crowd, especially the one holding up a sign that says, “I am beating cancer.” They believe because they see him each and every week on this stage deliver. Those corporate slogans and catchphrases weren’t puked up by a bunch of suits. They were created over ten years ago based on how he lives his life inside and outside the ring. Cena says he isn’t taking anything away from Owens. Cena says his undying passion to WWE and the people in the seats every week sets him apart. If he says, “Never give up,” he’s helping people. Cena then tells that person to never give up.

Those three words would amaze Owens on how they can affect people’s lives. It would be like working day in and day out for a decade for an opportunity. Finally, opportunity knocks, and you kick it down and say, “The Champ is here.” That’s exactly what happened to Owens last night. Cena says the three words that define the life journey of Kevin Owens aren’t “Fight, Owens, fight.” Those three words are “Never Give Up.” Cena has a word of advice from man to almost man: think before you speak. Owens said he delivers on every promise, but in two weeks he’ll have to explain how a pretty good wrestler couldn’t keep his promise because he got his ass kicked by a real man! Cena takes off his shirt and prepares for a fight. Owens feigns taking him up on the offer, but he instead walks off to boos from the crowd.

Roman Reigns will face Mark Henry with his Money in the Bank spot on the line. If Henry wins, he’ll be entered into the match. We’ll also see Randy Orton take on Sheamus.
