WWE Monday Night RAW Results

New Orleans, Louisiana
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video recaps the events from last week’s RAW. Roman Reigns promised if Vince McMahon screwed with him that Stephanie would have to pick him up from the hospital. Vince McMahon was the guest referee for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and was fast counting for Sheamus. McMahon tried to fast count for Sheamus, but Reigns wouldn’t stay down. Eventually Reigns won. McMahon then said Reigns would have to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Royal Rumble match.

The entire WWE roster is at the top of the stage. Mr. McMahon’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring with his daughter looking very happy. The New Day is happily singing along to McMahon’s song. Michael Cole announces this is the 23rd anniversary of Monday Night RAW. McMahon says, “Happy days!” McMahon says the crowd can look at the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he motions toward the stage. Of these thirty men, one of them will make history. Stephanie says Reigns defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Royal Rumble is making history. He may enter the match as the champion, but one of the people on stage will win it. McMahon says it’s every man for himself. It could be Dolph Ziggler, who has reached for the brass ring for ten long years. Maybe it could be Kevin Owens. He’s accomplished so much in so little time, if he wins the match he could cement the greatest first year in WWE history. McMahon says it could be a New Day! The New Day gyrates on stage. McMahon and Stephanie say, “That’s not booty!”

Bray Wyatt’s video flashes and the lights go out. When they come back on, The Wyatt Family is standing on the commentary table. Wyatt says, “Anyone but you, Roman.” McMahon says anyone, including the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns’ music hits, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring through the crowd. Reigns doesn’t receive much of a pop. The boos are really coming through once the music stops. McMahon tells Reigns to take it easy. Stephanie asks if he’s here to beat up her father again. McMahon asks why he’s out here. Reigns has a question: what happens if he wins? Vince and Stephanie both laugh. Vince says the odds are astronomical, but it could happen. McMahon says he’ll get an opportunity to do that in a “one versus all” match, and it’ll be Reigns taking on about 2/3rds of everyone on stage. McMahon says it’ll be a long, long night. It could be against anyone, including Dean Ambrose. Vince rules that out because Ambrose is in the first match. Sheamus then attacks Ambrose from behind. Reigns just watches and does absolutely nothing for his best friend.
