“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

The RAW video plays, and we’re brought into the arena with some fireworks. Tonight, we’ll see the return of Brock Lesnar. We’ll also see Seth Rollins take on Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in a triple threat match.

Chris Jericho’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring with a lost look on his face. Michael Cole says we were supposed to have a match with Enzo Amore and Karl Anderson kicking off the show and wonders what is going on. Jericho says he has some terrible news to share. The scheduled triple threat match with him, his best friend Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins has been canceled until further notice. The reason is catastrophic. Something horrible has happened. This could change the very course of WWE. It could ruin people’s lives. Somebody has stolen “The List of Jericho.” The crowd loudly boos that and starts a loud “NO” chant. Jericho says he will not leave this ring, have another match, or have anything to do with this company until he has it back in his hands. He’ll stay here all damn night if he has to. Jericho is waiting for someone to “man up” and return the list

Kevin Owens’ music hits, and the WWE Universal Champion makes his way to the ring. A “Where’s the list” chant breaks out. Jericho can’t believe he’s asking this and asks if Owens stole the list. Owens says he doesn’t know who has the list and doesn’t care, but he knows Jericho cares. Owens says he cares about Jericho. They’ll find the list together, but only once they’ve taken care of Seth Rollins tonight. Owens says he needs Jericho to stop thinking about the list and get on the same page with him. Jericho says there is no triple threat match until he gets back the list. That list is his private property. It’s his emotional private property. Jericho says he’s written his deepest, darkest secrets on that list.

Stephanie McMahon’s music hits, and she makes her way down to the ring. McMahon says she doesn’t have the list, but she’ll do everything in her executive power to make sure “The List of Jericho” is returned tonight. No one in the arena will leave until the list is in his hands. Until then, Jericho has to listen to his best friend, Kevin. Jericho has a triple threat match against Seth Rollins in the main event of Monday Night RAW. They need to get on the same page. McMahon tells him to stop being ridiculous. Jericho shouts that he wants his list back. Jericho says he’s tired of people coming down here telling him what they think he wants to hear.

Seth Rollins’ music hits, and he comes out to the stage with his hand behind his back. Jericho shouts that he sees the list behind his back. Rollins is revealed to be holding “The List of Jericho.” Rollins holds it up to a nice ovation. McMahon demands that Rollins brings the list down here right now. Rollins says he’s glad McMahon is out there because there’s a lot on there like Enzo, himself, “Sparkle Crotch,” and Bon Jovi, but at the bottom of the list is a name with an explanation: “For putting my best friend inside Hell in a Cell, Stephanie McMahon, stupid idiot.” McMahon looks surprised. Owens says he’s not getting away with this one. Rollins knows he won’t survive the triple threat tonight, so he’s resorted to childhood antics like stealing the list, according to Owens. Rollins says if Owens thinks the list is stupid, he should see the last name on this list: “My former best friend, Kevin Owens.” Jericho says Rollins has taken it too far. An honorable, loyal man and best friend would never be on the list. The list is made for muttonheads, barbarians, heathens, and stupid idiots like Rollins, Mick Foley, and everyone in the arena here tonight. McMahon says she wouldn’t be on the list either. Jericho agrees and reluctantly calls her “Mrs. McMahon.”

Jericho demands the list be returned right now. Rollins says he’s going to give him the list back because he likes the list and is feeling nice tonight. Before he does that, he feels like making some alterations to it. Rollins says he’ll dedicate his list to the guy handed the WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. It’s going to be a list of body parts that will never be the same when Rollins enters Hell in a Cell with him this Sunday. Owens has never been inside Hell in a Cell, but he’s been inside, thrived, and won inside it. The first thing on his new list will be Owens’ back because he’ll beat him life from limb before making sure he can’t walk around here calling himself the man anymore because the entire world knows that only one person is fit to wear the title, and that’s Seth Rollins. Number two on the list will be Owens’ mouth. He’ll kick his teeth so far down his throat, he’ll have a hard time puckering up to kiss Stephanie and Triple H’s asses. Item three million will be Owens’ ego. This Sunday, he’ll rip Owens apart. When he Pedigrees him through the mat, he’ll send a message to Stephanie and Triple H that he’ll stop at nothing to take the Universal Title and burn the establishment to the ground. Rollins then challenges Jericho to come and get the list before walking off with it. Jericho quickly gets out of the ring and goes after Rollins for it.

Tonight, Mick Foley will mediate the contract signing for the first ever RAW Women’s Championship Hell in a Cell match later tonight. Coming up next, we’ll see Enzo Amore take on Karl Anderson.

-Commercial Break-

Seth Rollins is walking backstage when Stephanie McMahon comes up to him. She asks for the list. Rollins asks why she wants the list and wonders if she’s concerned her name is on the list. McMahon pretends not to care if she’s on the list. It’s her job to run Monday Night RAW. They promised the WWE Universe a triple threat match tonight. Jericho won’t do anything until he gets the list. Rollins tells her to cut the crap. Rollins knows that she’s not doing anything for anyone else but herself. She wants the triple threat to turn into a handicap match so he doesn’t make it to Hell in a Cell because her and her stupid husband are so afraid of what would happen if he became the Universal Champion. It doesn’t matter what their plans are because it’s going to happen. Rollins says he doesn’t have the list anymore and left it in the locker room. Rollins then walks off.

Enzo and Big Cass make their way to the ring to a nice ovation. They will take on Gallows and Anderson this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell. Enzo goes through his usual shtick, but his microphone cuts off halfway through. Gallows and Anderson come out saying this singalong is officially canceled. They come out to loud boos. Luke Gallows says they’re all about making money. They had a good brother that made a good payday to switch some wires and shut them up. Karl Anderson says the tag team division was put on notice, but these two never got the message through their thick, greasy skulls. The fun and games are over. Their microphones being turned off is music to their ears.

Enzo pretends to hold the microphone, and the crowd goes through his entire shtick as he acts it out. It’s quite impressive. A very loud “How you doin'” fires up. Big Cass then does his “S-A-W-F-T” routine.

Enzo Amore w/ Big Cass vs. Karl Anderson w/ Luke Gallows

The bell rings, and Anderson quickly kicks Enzo before sending him into the ropes for a back elbow. Anderson gets him in the corner and punches away at him. Enzo turns him around and jabs away at him before backing up and doing “the running man.” Enzo then winds up like a pitcher and punches him down. Enzo goes to the top rope, and Gallows distracts him, allowing Anderson to give Enzo a spinebuster.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Enzo hit Anderson, but Anderson comes right back with a step-up enzuigiri. Anderson then kicks him hard in the head. Anderson waits for Enzo to get up, and he takes him down with a flying boot for a near fall. Anderson applies a chin lock, but Enzo fights up and drives him into the turnbuckle. Anderson counters a boot, but Enzo takes him down. Enzo hits some jabs before taking him down with a running cross-body and punching him. Enzo punches him down a few times before sending him to the corner. Anderson puts himself through the ropes, so the referee stops Enzo. Anderson takes Enzo out before going for a suplex, but Enzo lands on his feet. Anderson rolls him up with a handful of tights, but Big Cass distracts the referee. Gallows gets on the apron to distract the referee, so Big Cass big boots Anderson. Enzo then picks up the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Enzo Amore
Match Rating: *

We’ll hear from Roman Reigns and Rusev at different points of the evening. We’ll first hear from Rusev, next.

-Commercial Break-

A statue of Rod Carew is shown outside in Minneapolis.

Rusev is shown in a pre-taped promo. Rusev says he sometimes has trouble sleeping at night, but last night he slept like a baby. When he woke up, he knew that Roman Reigns’ stranglehold on the United States Championship is coming to an end this Sunday. Reigns has done despicable things to him and his wife. Now inside Hell in a Cell, he’ll do despicable things back to Roman Reigns. Reigns made this personal, disrespected his family, and stole his United States Championship. Now Reigns will pay the price. Hell in a Cell is a vicious structure capable of changing careers. The Cell is only as dangerous as your opponent, and Reigns will be locked inside it with him. Rusev says he’s not afraid of Hell in a Cell because he’s not afraid of Reigns. Rusev promises for his family, country, and the championship that Reigns will walk into Hell in a Cell as champion, but he will be carried out crushed!

“OHH MINNEAPOLIS! DON’T YOU DARE BE SOUR! CLAP FOR YOUR WORLD FAMOUS TWO-TIME CHAMPS AND FEEL THE POWER!”

Big E says, “Shame… us.” Yes, shame on all of us. Kofi Kingston says shame on all of us for allowing Sheamus to walk down this ramp and step into the ring week after week when you know who wants to see Sheamus? Who? Who? Who? Nobody! They get in the ring. Woods says not to shame us. Shame Sheamus. This is his fault. They all point at the entrance and repeatedly say, “Shame!” Woods says they’ll shame him tonight and this Sunday at Hell in a Cell when they walk out of the arena still the WWE World Tag Team Champions because New Day Rocks!

They’ll face Sheamus and Cesaro, next.

-Commercial Break-

Footage from the RAW Pre Show is shown. Cesaro and Sheamus both talked about how they could be Tag Team Champions… with a different partner.

Cesaro will start with Kofi Kingston. They slap hands before locking up. Cesaro wrenches the arm, but Kingston flips through and takes him down. Kingston then jumps off Big E’s back for an avalanche. Big E then clotheslines Sheamus down. The Unicorn Stampede fires up while Woods goes on and on about The New Day. Cesaro goes for a running shoulder, but Kingston moves. Cesaro hits the ring post shoulder-first.

Sheamus tags in, as Big E does. Big E hits a pair of belly-to-belly overhead suplexes before hitting a belly-to-belly side suplex. Big E goes for a big splash, but Sheamus pops up and does an Irish Curse Backbreaker for a two count. Sheamus shoulders him in the midsection and connects with a knee lift. The commentators talk about getting the WWE Network for free if you’re a new subscriber.

A really great video package is shown of Goldberg’s epic return from last week with clips from WWE 2K17 interspersed in it.

Chris Jericho is looking through the locker room when he bumps into the Shining Stars. They offer him a list of prices for a vacation. Jericho says he hates the Dominican Republic. Jericho goes to Titus O’Neil, but he doesn’t have it either. Finally, Jinder Mahal wants to show him some breathing exercises, but Jericho calls him a stupid idiot and wants the list, not breathing.

-Commercial Break-

Dana Brooke is in the ring already. Bayley makes her entrance. Dana says her victory last week over Bayley was called an upset, which she cannot believe. Dana says she got a rematch approved. This is not just any rematch. It’s an arm wrestling match. Bayley’s shoulder is revealed to be injured. She is wearing kinesio tape.

An arm wrestling table is brought in, and a referee comes out. A “This is stupid” chant breaks out. They lock hands, and Dana rips Bayley’s arm down. Bayley grabs her shoulder in pain. Bayley wants to have a fair contest and wants to use her left arm. A “Boring” chant fires up. Bayley looks like she’s winning with her left arm, but Dana cheap shots her and attacks the shoulder. Dana hits the ropes, but Bayley comes back and hits a Bayley-To-Belly. The crowd, which was just completely disrespecting these two, pop for the finish. Dana retreats from the ring.

Later tonight, we’ll have the contract signing for Charlotte and Sasha Banks’ Hell in a Cell match. We’ll also (possibly) see a triple threat with Seth Rollins taking on Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens.

Chris Jericho is still looking for the list when he bumps into Stephanie McMahon again. Jericho says she better help him find the list. McMahon asks what will happen. Will she go on the list again? Jericho says she’s not on the list and they haven’t had a cross word in sixteen years in the company. McMahon says Rollins is trying to distract Jericho from the triple threat main event. McMahon says she has a triple main event this Sunday and has to put together teams for Survivor Series. She tells Jericho to get focused because he’s competing in the triple threat whether he finds it or not. Jericho says he’s standing his ground and will not compete until he finds the list. He asks, “Ya dig?” She says she’s forcing her hand. A WWE Superstar is refusing to do what the boss says, so she’ll make an example of him. If he doesn’t compete tonight, he’s suspended. She walks off.

-Commercial Break-

Curtis Axel is in the ring. Axel says he really did Bo-lieve in Bo, but last week, he left him laying. Axel had to go back to what he believes in. Axel says his roots run deep in Minnesota. The crowd pops loud for him. Axel says every time he steps in the ring, he carries the legacy of his grandfather, Larry “The Axe” Hennig. He also carries the legacy of his father, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig. When Dallas attacked him last week, he attacked everything he stands for. Axel says he won’t let that happen, especially in his hometown of Minneapolis.

Curtis Axel vs. Bo Dallas

Winner by Pinfall: Bo Dallas
Match Rating: * 1/4

Bo Dallas quickly gets out of the ring and holds up his sign.

Coming up next, we’ll hear from Roman Reigns.

-Commercial Break-

A video package airs for Rich Swann. He’ll face “The Wizard of Odd,” Brian Kendrick later tonight.

Chris Jericho is still walking around backstage when a stage hand says he saw someone with the list. Jericho desperately asks where it is before kissing the man on the head. Jericho goes around the corner and see Braun Strowman holding the list. Jericho walks up to him and asks for the list. Strowman tells him to say, “Please.” Jericho asks again and says “please.” Strowman says he doesn’t see Sami Zayn’s name on the list before forcibly giving back to him and walking off. Jericho sheepishly says it’s on page four. Once Strowman is out of earshot, Jericho puts Strowman on the list for touching his personal property.

Roman Reigns is shown in a pre-taped promo. The crowd boos him. Reigns says he told Rusev he was taking him to hell with him, and he meant it. Rusev is trying to tell him what it’s like to be inside Hell in a Cell. Rusev has never been inside it and doesn’t know what it’s like to compete in it and win, but he does. Rusev said Reigns made this personal. Reigns hasn’t made it personal yet, but he will. In the Cell, it’s not about weddings and family albums. It’s about the United States Championship, and he takes that very personally. Reigns says, “See you in hell.”

The Golden Truth makes their entrance. Mark Henry will be ringside for a tag team match, next.

-Commercial Break-

Winners by Pinfall: The Golden Truth
Match Rating: *

Coming up next, we’ll see a contract signing with Sasha Banks and Charlotte.

-Commercial Break-

Mick Foley is already in the ring for the contract signing. A “Foley” chant breaks out. Foley says the great thing about being a WWE Superstar is you never know when a moment will become immortalized. Any match could be “the match” that catapults a WWE Superstar into a legend. This Sunday, six nights from now, at RAW’s exclusive PPV event, it’s no ordinary event: it’s Hell in a Cell. There will be a triple main event, including the first ever Women’s Hell in a Cell. We’ll have an extraordinary contract signing. First, he introduces the challenger, Charlotte Flair. Out next is the RAW Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks.

Both women toss aside their chairs. Foley says since they both arrived in the WWE Performance Center, they’ve broken through the glass ceiling and shattered what was expected of women’s wrestling. True greatness knows no gender. Some traditionalists think a Hell in a Cell match is too barbaric for women to compete in. This is a new era in WWE where women can accomplish anything. Foley says once they sign the contract, there is no turning back. This match and everything that comes along with it will happen, right here in Minneapolis.

Sasha Banks says she’s never been more ready in her life. Charlotte asks where she can sign so the title can come home to where it belongs on the shoulder of The Queen. Charlotte demands the contract. Foley doesn’t do it. Charlotte once again demands it. Foley says he hears her, but now it’s time for them to hear him. Foley doesn’t think they know what they’re getting themselves involved in when they step inside Hell in a Cell. Banks says she’s a student of the game and has studied every Hell in a Cell match on the WWE Network. Foley says she has no idea what’s in store for her. It’s not just steel. It’s a living, breathing entity with no soul, heart, or conscience. It will haunt them at night. Just when you think you’re over it, it will sneak up on you. It’ll make you cry like a child. It’s an intimidating fact that when you’re inside it, you face not one opponent, but two.

Charlotte tells Foley and Banks to listen to her. She has conquered everything she’s ever faced. She was the first woman to put her hands on that title. Just because some entitled second-rate talent has it, it will come back to her. The crowd loudly boos her. Charlotte says she’s the only reason that title means anything. She will go to hell and back and risk it all to win it back. When she beats Sasha on Sunday, she will look into her eyes and understand the meaning of the word “respect” because she will respect The Queen. WOO!

Banks says Charlotte is no queen because there is no queen in WWE. There is a boss. She will go down as the greatest Women’s Champion of all time. Hell in a Cell may change her life and leave her broken. Banks says none of that matters. All that matters is the WWE Women’s Championship. Charlotte says she’s been injured many times this year. Charlotte says Banks is weak. Banks says she’s walking into the Cell as the RAW Women’s Champion. She’s gone down, but she’s come back better than ever. She’s not afraid to step inside of Hell in a Cell. Charlotte says she isn’t either.

Foley screams that they both should be. He’s the future of them. Foley has difficulty getting around after the Cell. It hurts to move. The Cell left him a shell of his former self. There is no exercise he can do to make up for the fact that he has no hip socket. It’s bone on bone. There’s no curvature of his spine. He’s suffering because of the decisions he made inside the Cell. Foley is on the verge of tears and says he’s known her since she was a little girl. Foley says there’s not one thing in the world they can believe in except his belief in her. As for Banks, his children took an Eddie Guerrero autograph and gave it to her because it means a lot to her. Banks is part of Eddie’s legacy now. It means a lot to him. Foley was a jaded, cynical fan and reminded him of what he loves about WWE. Before he has them sign this, he needs them both to look him in the eye and let him know that they know the risks that go hand in hand with making history at Hell in a Cell.

Charlotte takes the pen, smiles, and sign the contract. Charlotte says, “See you in Boston.” Banks looks at Foley before taking the pen and signing the contract. Banks says, “And I’ll see you in hell.” Banks holds up the title and stares at her opponent.

Brock Lesnar will be on RAW later tonight to respond to Goldberg. Coming up next, we’ll see Brian Kendrick take on Rich Swann.

-Commercial Break-

T.J. Perkins will be on commentary for the next match.

They both hit the ropes and leapfrog one another. Swann flips over him and dropkicks him down. Swann hits a pair of arm drags before sending him into the ropes. Swann gets on his shoulders, but Kendrick takes him down. Kendrick goes for the Captain’s Hook, but Swann counters into a roll-up for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Rich Swann
Match Rating: * 1/4

T.J. Perkins is seen emotionlessly staring at Brian Kendrick.

Later tonight, Seth Rollins will take on Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in a triple threat match.

Tom Philips is backstage with the WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. Philips asks how everything that’s gone on with the list tonight will play out. Owens says they’re on the same page and will break Rollins tonight. Rollins will hobble into Hell in a Cell and make a pathetic attempt at taking his WWE Universal Title. Rollins thinks he has an advantage because he’s been inside Hell in a Cell, but he’s been waiting twenty years for this moment. Ever since he saw the first Hell in a Cell match, he wanted to be a part of it. As dangerous as the structure is, it’s exciting to be a part of it. That’s why Charlotte and Sasha practically begged to be in the Cell. After this Sunday, there won’t be any kids thinking the match is cool or any aspiring superstars wanting to be in it because they’ll see what happens to Rollins. Owens will put Rollins through the type of hell people talk about twenty years from now. He’ll put a permanent scar on Rollins forever. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of him. The only thing that matters is the WWE Universal Title. On Sunday, he’s going to hell with Rollins, but he’ll be the only one coming back.

Sami Zayn will take on Braun Strowman, next.

-Commercial Break-

Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn

Strowman stares at Zayn before grabbing a microphone. Strowman calls out Mick Foley and says he wants competition. Strowman doesn’t see any real competition. Zayn dropkicks him in the back, but Strowman doesn’t go down. Strowman angrily turns around, so Zayn slaps him. Zayn gets out of the ring and runs away. Zayn gets in the ring and dropkicks him off the apron twice. Zayn goes for a plancha, but Strowman catches him and throws him into the barricade. Strowman then simply walks off. Zayn gets in the ring and demands that he comes back. Strowman turns and walks off. This match never officially started.

T.J. Perkins is backstage in the locker room when Brian Kendrick walks up to him. Kendrick says he doesn’t want any trouble and needs his help. Perkins asks why he didn’t ask his new friends. Kendrick sadly says he needs the title on Sunday so he can continue to feed his family. Perkins says he doesn’t know if he can help him. Perkins tells him to go out and try to win. Kendrick asks Perkins to let him win. Perkins grabs his title and bag and walks off. Kendrick is choked up.

Paul Heyman knocks on Brock Lesnar’s locker room and walks in. Brock Lesnar will be out, next. It’s 10:40 PM EST and there is still a triple threat match to go.

-Commercial Break-

Brock Lesnar’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman. Lesnar is in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Footage is shown of Goldberg’s comments last week where he accepted Lesnar’s challenge. Goldberg said that Brock Lesnar is not only next, but he’s last. Lesnar is seen smirking at the footage.

Paul Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and my client, Brock Lesnar, has authorized me to come out here tonight to address this entire situation involving this, um, this guy, this superdad, this wannabe superhero, this guy who thinks he was Brock Lesnar before there was ever Brock Lesnar, this guy Goldberg.” Goldberg’s name is booed. A “Suplex City” chant fires up. Heyman interrupts the crowd and says we seem to have a smartass Goldberg fan tonight. Heyman says to him and anyone else that has the inclination that the chants are really starting to piss Brock Lesnar off. Heyman says when fantasy warfare meets the reality of my client, Goldberg will be like Humpty Dumpty because all the chants in the world won’t be able to put Goldberg back together again when he is beaten, victimized, and defeated by Brock Lesnar. As for the people that chant “Suplex City,” they’re the same ones that chant “Goldberg.” A “Suplex City” chant fires up. Heyman advises those chanting Goldberg (it’s not heard) to refrain from doing so before his client takes matters into his own freaking hands with them. A light “Goldberg” chant fires up. A “Skol” chant then breaks out mixed with “Suplex City.” A louder “Goldberg” chant breaks out.

Heyman says Brock Lesnar comes home and half the crowd chants for Goldberg. This is all Goldberg’s fault. A louder “Goldberg sucks” chant fires up. Lesnar’s music hits, and they walk off.

Chris Jericho is seen walking backstage when Kevin Owens walks up to him. Owens asks if he’s ready to be on the same page with him to make Seth Rollins regret the day he met them. Jericho says he heard Owens say that the WWE Universal Championship is the only thing that matters, but their friendship also matters. Jericho wants to make sure he knows he’s not on the list. Jericho says no matter what happens tonight, they’ll still be best friends. Jericho looks at the list and walks off, as Owens looks concerned.

Seth Rollins makes his entrance. The triple threat match is next.

-Commercial Break-

Next week, we’ll have a Halloween edition of RAW. Goldberg will also be on the show.
