“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video recaps the events that transpired at the end of this week’s Monday Night RAW. Seth Rollins called out John Cena before attacking Edge and Christian when he didn’t respond. Rollins held his foot on Edge’s neck until Cena agreed to bring back The Authority. Cena reluctantly brought them back. Rollins went to Curb Stomp Edge anyway, but Cena stopped him. Rollins and Big Show knocked Cena out before going to the top of the ramp to celebrate with Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon.

Edge and Christian are once again guest GMs for the evening

Edge and Christian make their way to the ring to a nice reception. Tony Chimel once again does the introductory announcements for them. Edge is wearing a Cesaro “King of Swing” t-shirt. Michael Cole, Tom Philips, and JBL welcome us to the show. Cole mentions that Edge and Christian have filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against WWE, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H for breach of contract, assault and battery, and loss of consortium. Edge says he’s been running through the events of RAW in his head pertaining to the direction of WWE, and he feels like it’s his fault, so he apologizes. Edge says if there were something they can do to Seth Rollins, they would tear him apart. Rollins has a huge target on his back with a John Cena sized missile directed at him.

Christian says the show must go on before asking if everyone is ready to see an amazing Smackdown tonight. Edge says, “That totally reeks of awesomeness.” The best part is that The Authority can’t do anything about it. Edge asks the crowd if they’re ready to kick off the show, and they cheer that they are. The titantron then shows a limousine pulling up in the garage. The limo driver gets out and opens the door. Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury step out. Noble says, “Hey boss, I told you to ‘step on it,’ not ‘step in it.'” The limo driver lifts his shoe, and it’s revealed that he stepped in dog excrement.

Seth Rollins’ music hits, and J&J Security makes their way to the ring. Edge and Christian do not look happy to see them. Edge tells them they should try going under the bottom rope since the middle rope seems to be a little too tall for them. Christian says he was having some trouble with his Twitter, and now the Geek Squad is here. Noble says they have come with a prepared statement from The Authority. Mercury pulls out the statement, and it reads, “Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, henceforth known as The Authority, hereby disavow any knowledge of any premeditated attack by Seth Rollins and Big Show on the hosts of RAW, Edge and Christian. Seth Rollins acted on his own accord, and The Authority neither condones nor supports his actions. Said simply, we apologize.” Edge says that seems convenient, but Mercury cuts in and says he’s not finished. Mercury continues, “Furthermore, The Authority recognizes Edge and Christian’s contractual right to host Smackdown and shall not interfere with said right. In order to ensure that Smackdown operates in a manner acceptable to The Authority, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury, henceforth known as J&J Security, shall be appointed official observers of Smackdown, and any and all breaches of protocol by Edge and Christian shall be reported forthwith the WWE Corporate offices in Stanford, Connecticut. Sincerely, Triple H.”

Edge thinks about it before saying that’s really interesting, but the fact remains that they’re still in control. They can make all the matches, and the first match they should make is J&J Security against Ryback. Noble and Mercury don’t look happy to hear that. Edge tells them to settle down, as he won’t endanger their lives like Rollins. Edge then says Ryback will take on The Big Show. Christian says that’s a great match and a main event in any arena in the world, but he has to trump him. Christian then says the main event will be Rusev taking on Roman Reigns. Edge says that’s a great match. Noble says he’s taking notes of everything that happens, and it’ll all go on their permanent files. Edge reminds them that he doesn’t actually work here. No matter what, they’re in control tonight. They won’t get to host a show for a long time, so this is their show tonight. Christian tells them to put that in their permanent file before calling them “dork chops.” The show starts now.

Bray Wyatt makes his entrance to the ring. He’ll be in action, next.

Wyatt asks if he was willing to do that to his own flesh and blood, to someone he saved and love, what on earth is he willing to do to Dean Ambrose? It’s been fun, but all good things must come to an end. Their story ends with Ambrose lying on a slab in the back of an ambulance. Wyatt laughs before saying, “Follow the buzzards!”
